Self doubt and limiting beliefs
There needs to be so much mindset and self-help work behind the scenes!🥰
It's so important to keep up with the affirmations for the kids throughout their lives but also for us too.
Limiting beliefs and self-doubt are a massive issue for all of us.
As kids, we have (hopefully) parents and peers to help and guide us and egg us on to try things.
As adults, we slip into the spiral of automatic negative thoughts and don't often get the pickup from friends or peers we need.
How many of us reply to the "how are you" question ... "I'm ok"?
Or I "will be ok"?
When truthfully we are not ok, or struggling or annoyed at something, or maybe we feel like we just need a hug?
Can anyone relate to this?
TIP - Set your phone or Alexa device to remind you of how amazing you are.
As you can imagine, after lunch is a natural lag for the majority of people, especially those who eat a high-carb lunch.
Mid-afternoons, tend to be a mindset shift for most of my clients. 90% of them (including me) need a little boost or reminder at this part of the day!
I tend to add in some high energy habits at this part of the day too, to change my physical state. Check out this super quick energizer habit HERE.
Most parents find that they get the "witching hour" between 4 - 6pm where the kids go a bit crazy and seem to have a massive energy peak. 80% of clients say that they have had to raise their voices at the time of day as the kids get home from school and want food and free play.
Here are a couple that I use as this is the time of day I tend to hit a natural lag:
Just say "Alexa, set reminder...
❤️It's OK, you have got this - every day at 13:15"
"Alexa, set reminder...
❤️You're doing a fab job - every day at 14:30"
"Alexa, set reminder...
❤️Breathe and let it go - every day at 16:20"
You may like to add in a reminder to 'unwind and get ready for bed' if you are trying out new habits to get you back into some sort of sleep pattern (what's that, right?). I did this for the last 2 years, and it really worked. A little bit of yoga or meditation, some relaxing music and dimming the lights... it worked so well I do it automatically now.
Also, I set reminders to drink water every day at 10am, 2pm, and 8pm - I drink loads more than this, but with food or exercise, or when I remind the kids to drink... these are the times of day that I tend to forget.
I make sure I use my own Tips and Habits that I teach to you, on myself. I use Alexa to set reminders and routines to help me be the best version of myself when I'm too tired to remember.
